Suresh Lalwani holds a Ph.D. from the University of Mumbai, with a doctoral research theme on the Operational Dynamics of Credit Derivative Markets. He is a professor in the area of Finance & Economics and the Director of Finance and Accounts at SPJIMR.
In his career spanning 45 years, he led senior roles in the Banking and Mutual Fund industry in India for 25 years before he transitioned into Academics. Lalwani is a Co-Promoter and Founder Member of the Fixed Income Money Markets and Derivatives Association (FIMMDA), India.
In his 20 years of academic career, he has passionately conducted research on topics including Indian Money Markets, Banking System, Money, Debt & Forex Market, De-Regulation, and Risk Management Systems.
