The NGO mela stands for celebrating the spirit of economic self-sufficiency achieved through the perseverance of artisans, SHGs, and NGOs, who bring a positive change in the society.
When Covid 19 horribly impacted the lives and livelihoods of many in this sector, the DoCC and Sustainability committee took the mela online. 28 SHGs and NGOs participated in the first-ever online mela using Zoom as their platform. Sellers and customers from different parts of India joined in.
In 2023, after the world returned to normalcy, Ehsaas was once again conducted in-person.
