Brief description

The study on factors for improving allocation and utilisation of funds for holistic development of village panchayats has yielded significant outcomes. The project has identified key hurdles hindering the overall development of gram panchayats despite the availability of funds. By emphasising the importance of community participation in the planning process, the project has advocated for increased awareness and transparency in fund allocation and utilisation. Furthermore, the project has provided practical recommendations to enhance people’s involvement in planning, improve Panchayati Raj Institutions’ staff competency, streamline fund release processes, and ensure transparent fund utilisation.
