SPJIMR Prof. Shalini Talwar, Associate Professor, Finance and Economics, and Research Lead, SPJIMR Centre for Innovation in Sustainable Development (CISD), was awarded the Nation’s Leading Researcher in Decision Sciences at the Careers360 Faculty Research Awards 2023. The assessment standards used by Careers360 to select recipients primarily involved factors such as the number of publications in journals, citation tallies, and the authors’ h-index. Careers360 specifically focused on authors affiliated with academic institutions with a minimum of 10 publications. Identification of research scholars was carried out by referencing databases like Stanford University’s compilation of the top 2% of scientists and prominent platforms like Research.com.

Prof. Shalini Talwar’s significant intellectual contributions include 68 publications and 2,022 citations with a h-index of 31. This metric provides a single number to gauge the overall impact and significance of a researcher’s body of work in the academic community. The award was conferred by the chief guest, Union Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan. Professor TG Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), was also present as the guest of honour.
