Prof. Lata Dhir presents at Hull International Conference for Loneliness

SPJIMR Organisation & Leadership Studies (OLS) Department Chair, and
Director, Student Affairs, Prof. Vidyut Lata Dhir was one of the keynote speakers at the Hull International Conference for Loneliness organised by MyBabble Ltd. in Hull, United Kingdom. The interactive conference brought together psychiatrists, mental health professionals, loneliness practitioners, academics, and policymakers to reflect on the impact of loneliness on mental health and drive fruitful collaborations to discover new initiatives to destigmatise and tackle loneliness globally.

Prof. Dhir’s team included SPJIMR professors Amit Jain, Sudhanshu Maheshwari, Ashneet Kaur, T.A. Madhura Gondhalekar and Prof. Elena Antonacopoulou from Ivey Business School at Western University. They addressed the global issue of social disconnection in their presentation, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development (UNSDG) Goal 3 – Good Health and Well-being.

Prof. Dhir presented research on the art and science of Vishwas, preparing future managers, deep research on loneliness, and flourishing goals. Vishwas is SPJIMR’s uniquely crafted counselling and development initiative for its community, including students, faculty, alumni and staff. It conducts several positive interventions to nurture holistic well-being and mental health of the diverse and vibrant community at SPJIMR. Over the years it has evolved into a platform to engage in conversations about hope and resilience in a psychologically safe environment.
