Empowering grassroots changemakers

The Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC) at SPJIMR, in partnership with PURE India Trust, hosted the 18th CSR and NGO Growth Workshop on December 12, 2025, at the SPJIMR campus in Mumbai. The one-day training programme was designed to strengthen the fundraising and growth capabilities of grassroots NGOs, community-based organisations, and emerging social leaders.

NGOs often face challenges in raising funds due to gaps in understanding CSR requirements, compliance norms, foreign funding rules, social stock exchange processes, crowdfunding techniques, and digital visibility. This workshop addressed these needs, offering practical strategies, hands-on exercises, and actionable tools to help NGOs become fundable, compliant, and sustainable.

The session was led by Prashant Pal, Founder and CEO of PURE India Trust, a well-known development thinker and trainer who has mentored over 3,000 NGOs across India. Prof. Chandrika Parmar, Director of DoCC, facilitated the morning session. Together, SPJIMR and PURE India Trust aimed to build a stronger, more capable ecosystem of grassroots leaders who can drive meaningful and scalable social change across India.
