Overview

India has the world’s largest youth population, with nearly two-thirds of its people under the age of 35. This demographic advantage presents an immense opportunity, but also raises pressing questions about employment, education, health and social equity. Building sensibility and engagement around these issues is critical to shaping inclusive policies and sustainable futures.

SPJIMR’s Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC) and the Head Held High (HHH) Foundation have come together to focus on youth through two initiatives.

DoCC-HHH Youth Studies Fellowship
An academic fellowship designed to generate research, insights, and reflections on the lived realities of young people in India, shaping scholarship and practice in the field of youth development.

About DoCC

Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC) is an SPJIMR initiative conceived 30 years ago that aims to engage with social sector initiatives across India. As part of this initiative, the SPJIMR community engage with rural communities as part of the curriculum, where students both volunteer and intern with organisations working in the social sector.

Over the years, DoCC has evolved from being a rural internship program into a multi-dimensional, multi-stakeholder initiative where students engage with communities, work with grassroots organisations, and experience social realities firsthand. It integrates rural internships, community engagement, academic initiatives, and collaborative projects—providing students, corporates, and academics with a platform where values meet action.
