SPJIMR bids farewell to GMP batch 22

December 17, 2025

SPJIMR bid a warm farewell to the GMP batch 22 cohort as they concluded an enriching and transformative journey of learning with us. Prof. Milind Kamat, Chairperson – GMP, reminded the participants that true leadership begins with being a good human being, encouraging them to love what they do and do what they love.

The event was graced by Dr. Philippe Maurin, Scientific and Higher Education Attaché – Consulate General of France in Mumbai, who inspired students to engage with the India–France Strategic Partnership and build meaningful global careers. Dr. Ashok Ullal, Former Dean, Reutlingen University, congratulated the cohort and wished them continued success in their future endeavours.

The participants will now progress to our esteemed partner institutions — EBS Universität, ESB Business School, IÉSEG School of Management, and Nyenrode Business Universiteit — to complete their MS/MBA degrees.

Student journeys

Ayushi Gupta reflects on her transformation: “The GMP journey has been deeply transformative for me, both as a professional and as an aspiring entrepreneur. It helped me move from ideas to structured thinking, from intuition to informed decision-making. Through rigorous coursework, case discussions, and peer learning, I gained clarity on strategy, operations, finance, and leadership—skills that are critical for building and scaling my own business in the future. The programme consistently pushed me to balance ambition with responsibility and purpose. Equally valuable was the exposure to SPJIMR’s strong alumni network, which offered real-world perspectives, mentorship, and inspiration. GMP has not only strengthened my foundation but also given me the confidence to pursue entrepreneurship with discipline, ethics, and long-term vision.”

Shivam Jamloki shares his experience: “As our professor Shesha Iyer says, GMP is for brave hearts. The programme is rigorous, challenges us to adapt to a global environment, and often tests our limits. It is a wonderful gateway to European and American industry. I have gained immense learning from the course and believe it is best suited for self-motivated students who truly want to challenge themselves.”

Prahlad Sathish describes his transition: “Stepping immediately into management from an engineering background, I found the transition seamless thanks to the incredible culture at SPJIMR. What could have been a daunting shift to a new city became a journey of rapid growth. Now, as I prepare to continue my Master’s in Germany, I feel fully equipped for the global stage, with the rigorous curriculum and focused language training providing the perfect foundation for my international career.”

Manvi Kansal captures the essence of her learning: “I learnt that an unstructured problem requires a structured solution. Most courses promise answers to questions; GMP did something far more valuable. It taught me how to think. It didn’t hand me conclusions. It trained my mind. GMP didn’t give me answers; it taught me how to think.”
