PGPFMB batch 34 Graduation Day

SPJIMR celebrated the Graduation Day for the Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGPFMB) batch 34. The graduating class comprised 104 participants, of whom 79 graduated. FMB 34 drew participants from 47 different business verticals, including manufacturing, service, FMCG industry, retail, mining, hospitality, etc., thus ensuring the diversity that remains the hallmark of all SPJIMR programmes.

The chief guest, Mr. C.K. Ranganathan, Chairman and Managing Director – Cavinkare, addressed the graduates and emphasised the importance of failures in life, reflecting on yesterday, navigating from person-driven to process-driven business, building a legacy and giving back to society.

Dean Varun Nagaraj encouraged the participants to embrace innovative ideas and apply them to their family businesses. Prof. Tulsi Jayakumar, Executive Director of the Centre for Family Business & Entrepreneurship (CFBE) and PGPFMB Chairperson, congratulated the graduates and reflected on their journey with the programme, which included experiences from the classrooms to the immersions at Chandigarh and Boston. She spoke to them about connecting the dots and the importance of the 4 P’s. She stressed the significance of core values such as integrity, honesty, generosity, humility and authenticity.

Participants Kanishka Gupta, Prakhr Verma, Sneh Kaur Matta, Harshit Khicha and Ketan Shukla were recognised with the Dean’s top five honours.

The event was attended by participants, their mentors, SPJIMR faculty, and staff. The SPJIMR family extends its best wishes to batch 34 as they embark on their new journeys.
