EduConnect 2025: Reimagining MBA admissions through AI

SPJIMR hosted EduConnect 2025, an engagement forum that brought together India’s leading mentors, educators, counsellors and test-prep experts to explore the evolving landscape of MBA education and admissions.

The forum centred on the theme ‘Right MBA, Right Time’ and examined how artificial intelligence is transforming both the MBA admissions evaluation process and the learning experience itself. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from prominent national organisations, including IMS, Career Launcher, Point 99 Learning, CET King, Jamboree, T.I.M.E., Ideal Management, UNOCUE and GMAC (the test-conducting body), alongside academic leaders and placement heads from SPIT.

Rich discussions throughout the day focused on integrating AI meaningfully into the admissions ecosystem. Participants explored adopting modern, multidimensional candidate evaluation parameters that assess potential beyond test scores alone. The conversations highlighted how AI can build a more robust, data-driven admissions process whilst simultaneously empowering candidates through AI-led self-evaluation tools. These innovations enable prospective students to identify the right time and right MBA programme based on their unique upskilling needs, career aspirations and personal readiness.

The forum sparked valuable dialogue about balancing technological advancement with the human elements of mentorship and guidance. Participants examined practical applications of AI in creating more inclusive and holistic admissions frameworks that recognise diverse candidate strengths and experiences.
