SPJIMR’s Professional Development (PD) clubs form one of the most dynamic and high-impact portfolios at SPJIMR. Covering domains such as analytics, consulting, investing, marketing, operations, product management, and public speaking, these clubs operate as year-long learning platforms aligned with industry expectations. Through workshops, live projects, competitions, peer learning, and placement preparation, PD clubs enable students to develop domain-specific expertise and apply classroom learning to real-world contexts.
Students may apply to a maximum of three Professional Development (PD) clubs, but can be selected into only one. A preference form must be submitted prior to applying to any PD club. Each PD club conducts its own annual selection process, comprising structured and rigorous recruitment rounds. The selected members represent the club for the academic year and carry its legacy forward to the next cohort.
The Analytics Club builds analytical thinking through hands-on workshops, case competitions, and industry interactions. It conducts sessions on Power BI, Excel, and SQL, brings in experts for guest lectures, and prepares students for analytics certifications and real-world problem-solving. The club helps students develop data-driven decision-making skills central to modern businesses.
The Consulting Club prepares students for careers in consulting by running guesstimate workshops, case-solving sessions, duo practice formats, CV and resume reviews, and mock interviews with club members and alumni. It creates a structured pathway to learn frameworks, practise live cases, and build confidence for consulting interviews.
The Investing Club builds strong financial thinking through structured learning, company analysis, stock pitches, and trading competitions. The club is creating SPJIMR’s first student-led investment fund, providing members with the opportunity to track markets, value companies, and build real portfolios. It prepares students for roles in finance and markets.
The Marketing Club fosters marketing excellence through academic addas, curated compendiums, brand-focused social media content, and events like Salesperson of the Year. The club creates learning resources, conducts alumni sessions, and helps students understand branding, marketing strategy, and storytelling across industries. It blends creativity with structured marketing knowledge.
The OSCM Club strengthens operations and supply chain skills through certification programmes, conclaves, industry projects, and placement preparation. Students engage with live cases, newsletters, hackathons, and events that connect academic concepts with real-world operations challenges. The club builds practical problem-solving and cross-industry understanding.
PMC bridges business and technology by helping students understand new-age products, business models, and product leadership. The club plans to launch a flagship product event, run peer-learning sessions, and organise industry interactions. Members learn to solve customer problems, conceptualise features, and think like product managers.
SPeak helps students become confident communicators through open mics, negotiation workshops, mock interviews, and GD preparation. The club supports students in improving articulation, presence, and clarity during placements and beyond. It creates a safe, encouraging space for students at all levels of speaking ability.
