MSF: The Master of Science in Finance program is STEM designated and ranked # 5 in the US by TFE Times’ 2018 Top Masters of Finance Programs, placing it in the top 10 for the third year in a row. A partner program of the CFAI and Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). The programme provides hands-on skills in Bloomberg Lab, consulting projects, company internships and faculty guided research projects for careers in risk management, transfer pricing & valuation, asset management and corporate finance.
The MSF concentration in Corporate Finance provides the tools in accounting, financial analysis, capital budgeting, credit risk analysis and corporate governance to analyse and understand how corporate decision making drives a firm's performance and valuation.
Students in this concentration learn to evaluate investment opportunities, quantify risks and craft strategic plans around financial assets. The Asset Management concentration prepares students to manage investment portfolios with a strong quantitative skill set and sound qualitative judgment with a thoughtful global perspective.
Students in this concentration learn to develop and apply quantitative models to operational and market risks related to interest rates, credit, currencies and equities. They also learn qualitative risk management approaches that reflect managerial and organizational responses to operational risks, changes in politics and leadership, corporate governance and fraud detection as well as reputation and strategy risk.
Develops expertise in data analytics and applications for quantitative risk management, forecasting, corporate financial modelling and portfolio management. Students concentrating in Fintech will graduate with the skills to manage and apply innovative technology in the financial services industry.
MSBA: A STEM designated Masters’ Programme to learn statistical, programming, data visualization and econometric methods for analysing data. Graduates apply their analytical knowledge at companies including Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Boston Digital Ventures, etc.
MBA:The MBA program is highly customized for students seeking to advance careers in marketing, finance, data analytics, real estate or general business. Brandeis IBS and its MBA program have been ranked among the best business schools and programs in the world for 10 consecutive years by The Princeton Review. A Brandeis IBS MBA enables students to propel careers in their own unique directions, whether that means advancing in a current feld, switching careers or starting a new business. Students may select one or two concentrations.
The Data Analytics concentration prepares students to use quantitative information in business to analyze data and forecast trends. Because this concentration is STEM designated, international graduates can extend a 12-month practical training experience after graduation by an additional 24 months.
The Finance concentration prepares students to analyze and manage corporate financial decisions, valuation, investment risks and financial market instruments. Graduates will have a deep understanding of global financial markets and economics.
The Marketing concentration provides the tools to create and communicate customer value, and to analyze customer data. Students can focus on techniques of marketing analytics and will get hands-on experience with marketing strategies.
This unique program of study prepares you to analyze real estate investments and projects. Students work directly with large organizations in Boston and around the world on real estate development projects.
The Strategy and Innovation concentration teaches concepts and methods useful in strategic planning, and in driving innovation across a range of industries. Students design their curriculum from a menu of courses and get involved in field projects or startup competitions.
