Joy of Giving Week 2025: Celebrating compassion and community

The SPJIMR HR team, in collaboration with the Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC), organised the Joy of Giving Week 2025, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to support meaningful causes and celebrate the spirit of giving. This annual initiative has become a cornerstone of the SPJIMR calendar, enabling the community to engage with social causes and make a tangible difference.
This year, the SPJIMR community extended its support to three organisations driving social transformation:
- The Blind Progressive Welfare Foundation, Dombivli — empowering visually impaired individuals from rural areas through education and independence.
- Thakur’s Care for Senior Citizens, Uttan — promoting the care and dignity of the elderly
- Andhakshi Ashram, Andheri — providing compassionate care for elderly individuals and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The response from the community was overwhelming, with active participation in collection drives and awareness sessions across campus. Contributions received will directly support the programmes and services of these organisations, making a real impact in the lives of those they serve.
Joy of Giving Week 2025 reinforced SPJIMR’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. It provided the community with an opportunity to translate institutional values into action, supporting causes that reflect our ethos of compassion, responsibility, and creating positive societal change.
