Monika Gupta

Associate Professor, Economics and Policy

Prof. Gupta holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business Environment from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow. Recently, she served as a short-term consultant for a research project with the World Bank. With over a decade of experience in teaching and research, she has previously held the position of Assistant Professor in the Economics and Finance Department at BITS Pilani. Her broad research interests encompass environmental economics and policy, energy economics, international trade and environmental implications, transport economics, and interdisciplinary topics like system dynamics modelling and community entrepreneurship. She has widely published in top-tier journals and earned numerous accolades, including a best seller case author award at Ivey and Harvard Business Publishing, prestigious fellowships and scholarships from NACRA, EcoMod, MIT Sloan, and PwC.
