Research Recognition for

SPJIMR Faculty and Alumni

Three case studies authored by SPJIMR faculty and alumni have received the Ivey Publishing Best Seller Awards 2022 – 2023.

The list of this year’s Ivey Publishing Best Seller Awards includes 25 remarkable cases by Ivey Publishing writers. As highlighted by Ivey Publishing during its announcement, all entries were effective in engaging students and accomplishing what cases do best: placing students in the position of decision-makers and allowing for analysis, active learning, and memorable classroom experiences.

The entire SPJIMR community takes immense pride in the accomplishment of its faculty members and alumni. The recognition by Ivey is a significant accomplishment and applauds the intellectual contributions of our faculty and inspires the larger academic community. It also reinforces SPJIMR’s commitment to impact management study and practices with its world-class research that balances rigour with relevance.

SPJIMR Professors on POMS India Chapter Board

SPJIMR's Prof. Sajeev A. George will serve as the President of the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) India Chapter Board. Prof. Sajeev is the Programme Chair of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Faculty, Department of Operations, Supply Chain Management & Quantitative Methods. 

Prof. Debmallya Chatterjee is the elected as the Vice-President at Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) India Chapter Board, Large 2. Prof. Debmallya is the Department Chair, Operations, Supply Chain Management & Quantitative Methods and Programme Chair of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Online at SPJIMR. 

Established in 1989 Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) is a global society for academics and practitioners operating in production management, operation management and supply chain management areas. POMS’ mission is to create, extend, and disseminate knowledge in production and operations management.

Inaugurated Sunil Bhatia Start-Up Hub

The FinNovate Accelerator Curtain Raiser marked a new milestone for the SPJIMR Centre for Financial Innovation (CFI). The highlight of the FinNovate Curtain Raiser was the inauguration of the Sunil Bhatia Start-up Hub by SPJIMR PGDM / MMS, Class of 1989 alum Sunil Bhatia, Board Member – Investor and Former CEO of Infogain.

Mr. Bhatia has contributed INR 10 crore to the Hub. His contribution resonates with both his and SPJIMR's commitment to nurturing the startup ecosystem in India. Manoj Mohan, the Executive Director of the Centre for Financial Innovation, emphasized that the Sunil Bhatia Startup Hub is truly unique and will play a crucial role as a catalyst for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange in the financial sector. Its impact is expected to revolutionize how finance is perceived, practiced, and driven forward in the industry. It offers vital initiatives that support entrepreneurship through pre-incubation, incubation, and acceleration stages.
