About the Speaker
Mitali Nikore is a pioneering economist with 12 years of experience in gender mainstreaming, development finance, policy advisory, and social entrepreneurship. She advises leading multilateral organizations such as ADB, UN Women, and the World Bank. In recognition of her work, Mitali was felicitated with the India UK Achievers Honours, which celebrates the work of 75 young UK Indian students and alumni who have contributed to their profession and society. She was named one of the 22 For 2022 industry leaders by Forbes magazine. Mitali holds a Master of Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Delhi.

SPJIMR’s Centre for Innovation in Sustainable Development (CISD) is a networking and knowledge hub for the community of NGOs, policymakers, academia, and commercial organisations who are developing solutions that address one or more of the sustainable development goals outlined in the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
CISD offers a specialised Post Graduate Diploma in Management for managers in the development sector, and hosts periodic knowledge updates and events relevant to the development community. The Centre’s thought leadership efforts are currently focused on solutions that improve agricultural livelihoods, and promote educational equity.

The webinar series of CISD, "Social Sector Samvaad", engages in insightful conversations with recognised experts about the new developments, wise innovation practices, and challenges in the social sector, with a particular focus to reach out to small and medium-sized NGOs.
