Business Today MDRA
Best B-Schools 26-27

SPJIMR ranks #26 globally, #2 in India for 2026.
SPJIMR ranked #1 in India for management services.

🎉 SPJIMR is #1 in India!

The bar is set high. We are raising it further.

SPJIMR is ranked India’s #1 private B-school and #4 overall, with strong recognition across management programmes.

#1 Private B-school in India
#4 All India
#5 Best Online MBA
#8 PGPMBM
#9 Fellow Programme in Management

These rankings reflect performance across a range of parameters, including student diversity, learning experience, placements, future orientation and new-age courses.

But for us, the real measure of progress goes beyond rankings. It lies in the rigour of our academic approach, the relevance of what we teach and the leaders we help develop: professionals who pair competence with conscience, sound judgement with ambition, and success with responsibility.

The benchmark matters. What we do with it matters more.

As business and society evolve, SPJIMR remains committed to developing leaders who think deeply, act responsibly and create meaningful impact.

From the desk of Industry and International Relations

Industry thinking in the classroom

October brought a new European partnership, industry leaders into classrooms and visiting university teams to Mumbai. The emphasis was practical: more opportunities for students and closer engagement between faculty and business. Even the paperwork had something worth reporting.

An invitation worth opening

We are establishing the invitation-only SPJIMR Industry Academic Consortium, bringing corporate leaders, industry bodies and faculty together around live business and societal challenges. AI governance, supply-chain resilience, talent and responsible growth are among the starting points.0

Members will help define the questions and work with faculty towards usable insights, through periodic working groups and an industry-to-academy sprint at TASIC 2027. The world is hardly short of committees; this one will be judged by the problems it helps solve.

We will be reaching out to selected alumni whose experience can shape its agenda. Keep an eye on your inbox.

The 15 October Faculty Excellence Forum featured Julia Culen and Christian Mayhofer, co-founders of the Conscious Consulting Group. Their session explored systems thinking, leadership and sustainable organisational transformation.

For 31 October, PGDM Online participants are scheduled to hear two PGDM Class of 2004 alumni. Geetika Vats will discuss payments, treasury and AI in financial services. Swanand Bhedasgaonkar, a Vice President at Capgemini, will examine enterprise thinking and judgement in developing future CXOs.

Faculty inside the business

SPJIMR poster featuring Prof. Snehal Shah and FICCI HR Committee

A faculty immersion pilot with Two Brothers began on 13 October, involving Sukriti Sekhri and Vishnu Prasad in company projects. Exploratory discussions with Rallis India covered digital capabilities, marketing and organisation structure. Dr Snehal Shah was also invited to represent academia on FICCI’s HR Committee for 2026 to 2028.

International partnerships with practical outcomes

Campus visitors included HEC Liège on 5 October, Institut Mines-Télécom Business School on 9 October, and Manchester Metropolitan University, led by Provost Professor Steve Rothberg, on 14 October.

Manchester’s delegation explored research and immersions and visited Abhyudaya. Visitors heard directly from Sitaras, the schoolchildren supported by Abhyudaya, and a PGDM mentor about their experiences, bringing a personal dimension to institutional discussions. Follow-up discussions include executive education in sports leadership. HEC Liège subsequently confirmed three courses with dedicated assessment arrangements allowing SPJIMR students to finish before returning to India. Academic calendars are rarely accused of excessive flexibility. This was a welcome exception.

New partnerships are being explored with Luxembourg School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University and Universiti Putra Malaysia, while a proposed project with Liverpool John Moores University would connect students to compare Mumbai’s and London’s financial clusters. And discussions with Pace University’s Lubin School of Business identified joint research in wise leadership, sustainability and AI, alongside a possible New York immersion proposal.
