TaSIC 2025: Shaping Responsible Innovation |
The inaugural edition of the Technology and Societal Impact Conference (TaSIC) 2025, held last year, sparked vital conversations around its core theme of responsible innovation. From AI-enabled efficiencies disrupting workforces to quick commerce raising sustainability and safety concerns, the sessions brought diverse perspectives under one roof, leaving behind gems of learning.
SPJIMR will host the second edition of the Technology and Societal Impact Conference (TaSIC) 2026 under its Wise Innovation Studio for Emerging Technologies (WISE Tech) on February 20–21, 2026, at its Mumbai campus. At TaSIC 2026, the dialogue will centre on how transformative technologies must be designed and governed to foster inclusiveness, sustainability, and equitable progress.

The Green Dilemma: India’s Intent–Action Gap in Sustainable Consumption |
Consumers in India overwhelmingly express a preference for sustainable products, yet their shopping carts often tell another story. Despite vowing to switch, they still end up buying less sustainable options.
This “green dilemma,” which was first explored in SPJIMR WISE Tech’s White Paper "From Intent to Action", has been discussed in a special edition of WISE Tech Insights.
The article titled “The Green Dilemma: India’s Intent–Action Gap in Sustainable Consumption” explores why the gap between intent and action persists, while also highlighting stories of brands and individuals rewriting the sustainability narrative.
The article notes key challenges: trust deficits in claims (greenwashing fears), high prices of green products, limited availability, and confusion in consumers’ perceptions.
The article, while also highlighting success stories of brands and individuals who have made a mark in sustainability, also comments on what industry and policymakers need to do to make sustainable choices the default choice.
