The fellowship is funded by Mr. Deepak Regunath, an SPJIMR alumni and is in the memory of his late father, Mr. Regunath Ganesan. Mr. Regunath Ganesan was an IIT Madras alumnus and had an experience of three decades in the paper and pulp industry. It was his vision to make a difference to the world, by supporting the work of others.
Terms of Fellowship
The fellowship is for two lakhs. It will be for a flexible term. The fellowship will be for a minimum period of three months and maximum duration of eight months depending on the nature of the research project. The researcher is free to indicate the timelines during which they will use the funds.

- Amount of upto 2 lakhs will be disbursed in two installments
- The selected candidate will have the support to access the social sector network of DoCC for the purpose of conducting research
- Desk space will be provided if needed
- The applicants have to provide a brief mid-term update of 3-5 pages of the progress and challenges if any being faced
- A brown bag / research seminar on research to be presented during or end of the fellowship period to share the findings
- Acknowledge the fellowship support in relevant publications
