Team SPJIMR proved their mettle beyond classrooms by defeating K.J.Somaiya in the semi-finals

CNBC Awaaz news channel reached out to PGPM participants & Prof Atul Sethi on 27th February 2016 to get their views on general expectations from the budget and also their take on the effects of budget on Taxation, Healthcare and Education amongst other sectors.

From the Business Today issue "India's Best B-Schools - A BT - MDRA survey", which ranked SPJIMR as the 4th in overall rankings, dated November 22, 2015.

The SPJIMR campus wore a spruced up look on Tuesday (June 7) as a new batch of PGDM participants filled the 300 seater auditorium for an orientation ceremony that marked the beginning of the PGDM Class of 2018, the first batch to be greeted with a new logo, a newly drafted honour code and a revamped approach to SPJIMR's celebrated non classroom learning initiatives.

SPJIMR has entered the 'Super League1' in the Business Standard best Business School rankings. In its edition of June 16, 2016, Business Standard said, "The final ranking of the business schools that have participated this year has been obtained by arriving at a weighted composite score comprising the audit index and the perception index."

Mr. R Gopalakrishnan, author, corporate advisor and now Executive in Residence at SPJIMR, writes on the thought leadership workshop at SPJIMR in the Business Standard newspaper.

In the column published June 9, Mr. Gopalakrishnan notes: Collectively the faculty engaged on a journey—what is thought leadership, why is it important, what are the processes involved, what does a thought leader actually do? At the end of that day, it was not that the 50 assembled people had stumbled on to a revolutionary new idea; they had only emotionally engaged on a journey of self-discovery about themselves and their roles as teachers of management-- a hugely worthwhile outcome with, hopefully, more to come.

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey of 5,287 employers across India says that they expect vigorous hiring from October to December. Overwhelming response is received in registration for admission 2015 application process but technical glitches occurred on the last date of SPJIMR application submission, this has called for the B school to extend the last date of application submission by one day till Dec 1, 2014. Thousands of candidates could not submit their application on Sunday Nov 30, 2014 due to technical problem faced by them in online payment gateway.

The S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) has closed the applications process for resident and non-resident Indian citizens on Dec.1. The B school sources say that SPJIMR has begun processing applications for the two year PGDM programme (2015-17) and would soon announce the first list of candidates called for interviews
