Information and Communication Technologies for Development
Saikat Das has a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC). He holds a B.Tech in Information Technology from the West Bengal University of Technology and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, and a certification in Business Analytics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. Based on his thesis dissertation, his research paper was published in the European Journal of Operational Research and won the Best Publication Doctoral Student Award.
His research interests include network analysis, business analytics, e-government, and information and communications technology for development. He also writes blogs on Analytics. He has qualified the CBSE-UGC National Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor in Management, and his teaching interests are in the area of Business Analytics, Data Science using Python, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with low-code and no-code, Social Data Analytics, Network Analysis and Management Information Systems.
He has five years of information systems practitioner experience in developer and business analyst roles with Tata Consultancy Services. In addition to academics, his interests include Vedanta philosophy, social welfare activities and writing blogs on Analytics.
