Subir Rao

Subir Rao holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, with his doctoral research focused on Management Science and Operations Research. He holds a master’s degree from the University of New South Wales, with a major in Applied Mathematics (Research in Biomathematics). He teaches Quantitative Methods, Operations Research, and Multivariate Statistics. He started his career as an entrepreneur in the analytics and learning domain but soon followed his passion for Education.

In his academic career spanning 18 years, he has taught at institutions offering education in Engineering, Technology, Analytics, and Management. He was awarded the ‘Best Research Award’ in 2015 by IIT Bombay for his research contributions to Warehouse Management Science. He holds a passionate research interest in Probability Models in Supply Chain, Warehouse Design and Operations, and Simulation Modelling in Supply Chain, with his intellectual contributions published in leading international journals like Transportation Research (E), International Journal of Production Research, IIE Transactions, IEEE Transactions in Modelling to name a few.

He has also presented his research contributions at reputed international conferences within and outside of India.
