Lijo John completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK). Prior to his doctoral studies, he did M.Tech from NIT Calicut in Industrial Engineering and Management, and a B.Tech from the University of Kerala in Mechanical (Production) Engineering. He was a rank holder in both his undergraduate and graduate studies.
John was previously an Assistant Professor in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the IMT Business School, Dubai. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia, Canada. He is also the winner of the Wings of Excellence award from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) in 2018.
He is also a recipient of the Shastri Research Fellowship by the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute under the Government of India. His research areas include humanitarian logistics, supply chain management, and supply chain contracts. His research has appeared in refereed international journals such as Annals of Operations Research (ANOR), Sustainability, and International Journal of Services, and Operations Management, to name a few.
