Prof. Tulsi Jayakumar, Executive Director, Centre for Family Business and Entrepreneurship (CFBE) and Chairperson, Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGPFMB) at SPJIMR, has been appointed to the board of the prestigious STEP Project Global Consortium (SPGC). The SPGC connects academics and family business experts worldwide to generate cutting-edge research; and offer best-practice solutions on entrepreneurship practices within family businesses.

Highlighting her new role, the SPGC stated, “With her extensive experience in consulting, workshops for family businesses, and leadership roles in Indian industry bodies, Dr. Jayakumar’s expertise will greatly enhance SPGC’s mission of supporting family enterprising worldwide.”

Expressing her enthusiasm, Prof. Jayakumar shared, “I look forward to contributing further to the exciting field of family entrepreneurship research and education with a stellar global team.”

Prof. Jayakumar’s appointment to SPGC is the latest in a series of prestigious roles she has undertaken. In 2024, she was appointed as a Woman Independent Director on the Board of Directors of the SBI Foundation for a three-year term. Additionally, she joined the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Knowledge (Skill and Education) Committee for 2024-25. She was also reinvited as a member of the FICCI Maharashtra State Executive Council for the same period and has been serving as an independent director on the Board of Kriti Nutrients since April 1, 2024.
