Abhyudaya Takes Centre Stage at FICCI Global Summit |
Our Abhyudaya initiative took centre stage at FICCI’s Annual Global Summit on Higher Education held recently in Delhi, where it was recognised as “Winner” in the “Institutional Social Responsibility (Private)” category for its outstanding contribution in the field.
This recognition was a double source of pride for us, as this year’s conference focused on “innovation and societal development” in a rising India. Presided over by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, the event celebrated initiatives that had made a lasting impact on the country’s educational landscape. Abhyudaya went through a rigorous evaluation before being declared a winner, assessed on multiple parameters including impact since inception, service innovations over the last two years (particularly relevant for long-standing initiatives like ours), and new community partnerships established during the same period.
Undoubtedly, this award is the culmination of many hands and hearts at work, with the sweet taste of success shared by many — our Sitaras, their families, and the schools in the K-West ward that we have the privilege of serving; our thousands of student mentors over the years who have changed lives (including their own); our faculty and professionals who have guided mentors and worked directly with Sitaras; our admin team; our donors (alumni and well-wishers); the many volunteers (including SPIT students); and, of course, the members of Team Abhyudaya.
The centre stage that evening reflected the collective spirit of all these people.

A recent article in WISE Tech, titled “Code in the Red: AI, Tech Debt, and the Future of the Programmer,” highlights a quiet crisis unfolding within the software industry as AI takes over more of the coding process. Developers are facing a profound shift in their roles — from creators to curators of AI-generated code — while organizations confront the mounting risk of technical debt.
To read more on how the future of programming will hinge on redefining the human role in an AI-driven development world, click the link below: India’s digital public infrastructure has already redefined access to finance, healthcare, and essential services at population scale. Now, the country is preparing for its next frontier: public intelligence.
According to a piece published in Wise Tech, this evolution — powered by artificial intelligence and data — could enable systems that not only deliver services but also learn, adapt, and respond to citizens’ needs in real time.
The article explores what it would take to build such a future, the opportunities it presents, and the ethical guardrails necessary to ensure inclusivity and responsibility. Read more to discover how India could move from digital infrastructure to digital intelligence. Read more here
