Parents' meeting and first home visits

Spjimr

On Sunday, October 12, SPJIMR hosted nearly 800 participants-Sitaras and their parents on campus for the quarterly meeting. The session highlighted upcoming events, new initiatives, and the achievements of our Sitaras.

For the first time, Abhyudaya presented awards to Sitaras for 100% attendance, academic progress, and for demonstrating gratitude towards Abhyudaya and their

peers. These awards served both as recognition and as encouragement to inspire continued growth and effort.

It was also a special day for the Sitaras as their new mentors set out for their first home visits. Many mentors accompanied their Sitaras home after the meeting, creating touching moments as mentors and mentees shared their first experiences together - their faces lighting up with joy and connection.

Reflections by PGDM ADMAP Committee

The Assessment and Development of Managerial and Administrative Potential (ADMAP) is a unique immersive experience pioneered by SPJIMR. It enables participants to develop their administrative capabilities and management skills experientially. This two-credit course instils in the participant the core principles of self-learning and self-management through the prism of doing, observing, reflecting, and recording. Abhyudaya has 16 students dedicated to this each year. We will be highlighting their reflections each month.

Aligned with the UN SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals), SPJIMR's Abhyudaya is a community-based organisation that provides mentoring and holistic after-school education to bright, underprivileged children (Sitaras = Stars), from low-income neighbourhoods in Mumbai's K-West ward so that they become independent and the schools and community around them improve.
