Its been almost a year since the course on Strategy for PGPM407. It was among the best in that campus.
I am currently working with Strategic Solutions, a team focussed on winning large/strategic deals for TCS.
In the process of analyzing a company for a deal, I noticed the spread of its value chain. These people know what they are doing and know that they are doing it good. It was then, all the long discussions we had on the "backward" & "forward" integration, value chain and its relevance to corporate strategy, came flooding in. It still made sense and the realization that I am capable to recognize this aspect, among many others, yet again proves how effective your class was.
Thanks again for the effort you had put in for making us better individuals.

"Joining PGPM (formerly known as PGDM) course at SPJIMR was
one of the best decision I took at the end of 5 yrs of rich IT experience.
Something unique which I found with this course was the diversified
and highly experienced batch profile, which resulted into value
added discussion during the class.
"ET-in-the-classroom" was one of unique initiatives which I loved
most after "Gita Sibir". Once I joined customer interfacing role
in my current organization, I was able to relate with the role-play
we had during our classes. Courses like "Managing new business initiatives"
are unprecedented in the industry and itwas very useful inmy curreent
role.
Pre-MBA, I wanted to shift from IT-Delivery to IT-Sales. This course
provided a launching-pad to develop my soft skills and met 100%
of my expectation."

"Going back to college is always a fascinating thought especially
after working in the industry for a few years and SPJIMRwas an ideal
destination. It gave me an opportunity to learn from a group of
diverse yet like minded batchmates and some of the best names in
the industry as visiting faculties. The combination of general management
and specialization courses combined with some innovative learning
methods helped us learn the various facets of management and provided
a platformto change roles."

"My dramatic career shift from being the first
Indian Woman Officer Cadet in the Merchant Navy, to a senior Manager
in the high growing Retail Business area now, would not have been
possible without the extremely valuable inputs and training I received
during my 1 year at SPJIMR. The PGPM program has equipped me with
the correct perspective to understand the Distribution & Logistics
of Retail Business and to deliver the timely solutions for such
complex projects."

"The one year that I spent here at SPJIMR has helped me to move
from a two-dimensional thinking to a truly holistic view thus giving
me a paradigm shift in my approach to solve any particular problem.
The niche PGPM program has helped me achieve a higher level of understanding,
where the intricate relationship between the key aspects of business
became clearer as I started approaching genuine big picture thinking.
It was also truly enriching experience working with motivated and
likeminded people thus helping me understand the intricacies of
life."

"Overall my experience of going through the course has been
phenomenal. SPJIMR's PGPM program is a recipe for guaranteed success.
It's a mixture of the participant's personal commitment and focus,
excellent professors, talented peers and superb infrastructure.
Spending 1 year in the classroom after having spent 7 years in a
technology delivery role has opened up newer avenues for me in the
IT outsourcing industry. The PGPM course has helped me in switching
from a delivery role to a Business Development role."

"One year PGPM course in Operations provided me with an opportunity
of great peer-to-peer learning, where candidates from range of industries
and experience shared their knowledge at a common platform. Viewing
on a different aspect of course which enhances and builds the EQ(Emotional
Quotient) with the activities like Admap, DOCCand Gita Shibir touching
the Human aspects of life.
Industry interaction program kept us updated with the requirements
of the changing Business scenarios and dynamics. It opened the ways
for me to move into the Consulting domain, which I have been longing
for in my career. Currently I am ready to take on a Challenging

One thing that I always cherish, among all the beautiful experiences
that I had along with my other friends, is the informally structured
ET Session. I respect the passion shown by our professors to inculcate
in us the habit of going through Economic Times regularly. In one
of the instances none of us were prepared to present some suitable
article on some Tuesday. Our CoCo (Course Coordinator) rushed to
inform Preeta Mam (Preeta George) that we were not prepared. She
took the newspaper of the day, photocopied an article on "Savings
glut", made sure all of us read it during lunchtime and the
class continued. The rest is all history.
Today, I am happy that I read and do like the newspaper and
am sure that this will give a lot of satisfaction to my esteemed
professors apart from adding a lot of value to my career and enhancing
my personal knowledge bank.

"The one year PGPM course has helped me gain "sustainable"
advantage in my career. It has helped me add valuable management
insights to myself during this course. The advantage of this course
has been its "focused approach" and the "on par knowledge
level" of the batch, since every one comes in with "contributable"
work experience. On the personal front, as its been often said -
"Its the experience, to be lived". You not only build
up a professional business network, but you also end up with lifetime
good friends and probably the only reason why I felt the duration
of the course was less. "
