About the program: SPJIMR had conducted a customized training program for Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. (M & M) . M & M wanted their team of middle and senior level managers exposed to project management in order to carry out effective and efficient New Product Development projects in their hand. Program Design: The program design and delivery was customized for the company's requirement based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge Guide, (PMBOK) as published by the Project Management Institute (PMI, USA). Keeping in mind M & M 's current and future projects, the senior faculty having varied industry and academic experience designed the program It included coverage of the fundamentals like: Overview of PM practices, project management processes, flow of information and inputs, outputs and tools & techniques of PM processes, financial criteria for project selection, Qualitative and quantitative analysis of project risks Effective project controls Issues in New Product Development and others. Post Training Initiative: A Mentor Appraisal Form was designed for the Mentors of the first participants to assess the effectiveness of the training, suggesting an implementation approach by SPJIMR. Keeping in view the feedback received from the first batch participants, SPJIMR plans to add more value to the program for batch 2 participants.
