The industry acceptance of the PGDSM MIT course has been phenomenal with firms from diverse verticals offering general management, consulting, sales and business development, analysts and other profiles to the participants of the program in the final placement process. Upholding the SPJIMR tradition and the glory of Virginia Tech, USA, the third batch of the PGDSM MIT program, comprising of 63 participants, recorded a prodigious 100% placement within a few hours on the first day of placement. The recruiters provided excellent feedback regarding the academic credentials, business acumen and enthusiasm of the participants. Aricent, Capgemini Consulting, Cedar Consulting, McKinsey KC and MindTree were some of the companies that participated for the first time in the placements of this unique systems management program. This year recorded an increase of 88% in the number of offers per student with a larger number of multinational and domestic companies participating in the placement process. Salary packages also saw a tremendous increase from previous years. The average salary went up considerably to enter double digit figures and international offers with locations in Europe and UAE were offered to participants. Prior to the final placement process, a large number of the participants were offered pre placement offers (PPO) from companies which visited the campus during autumn placements. 33 participants were offered PPOs, and 23 participants accepted them with stupendous salaries and job profiles. 40 companies participated in the final placement process and a total of 145 offers were made. ROLES OFFERED Offers were made for profiles like Assistant VicePresident, Business leadership trainees, Business consultants, Business Development Managers, Pre-sales consultants, Senior Business Analysts, Business Analysts, Management Trainees etc.
