Curriculum

The academic year for PGDM begins with the Harvard Business School’s pre-MBA foundation module, setting the stage for a robust management education. In the first year of the programme, core functional and general management courses are combined with experiential learning opportunities such as PGLab, Abhyudaya, ADMAP, DoCC, SOS, and Design and Innovation. These immersive experiences offer non-classroom learning initiatives to develop practical skills. In the second year, the focus shifts to industry readiness, integrating the functional and general management concepts and experiential learning from the first year. This is accomplished through major and minor specialisations, a range of common electives, corporate internships, and the Global Fast Track (GFT) module, which provides international immersion at a partner school.

Admission

PGDM programme from top B-schools seeks to attract talent from a wide range of backgrounds to advance its mission of promoting value-based growth through wise innovation and influencing managerial practice. The admissions and selection process is carefully designed and tailored to meet the needs of both Indian and international applicants. In recognition of the growing global interest in the programme, the Government of India has allocated an additional 36 seats for PGDM exclusively for international students, including Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), children of Indian workers in Gulf countries, and foreign nationals.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a recognised university.
  • CAT and GMAT entrance scores are accepted.
  • Both fresh graduates and candidates with a maximum of 5 years of work experience.

Application Process

  • Aspirants must fill out the online application form available in September every year.
  • The application processing fee is INR 2000 – subject to revision.

Selection Process

Applicants must meet the qualifying scores in at least one of the entrance exams. The profiles are evaluated, and the applicants are sorted into two groups – Profile-based and Profile-cum-Score-based. For selection, the applicants are shortlisted based on their profiles.
