Do I need to indicate my area of specialisation while applying for the PGDM Programme?
At the time of applying, students need to indicate their choice of specialisation out of the following options - Finance, Operations, Marketing or Information Management.
Can we apply for more than one specialisation?
No, you can apply for only one specialisation.
How do I get financial loan?
Banks like SBI, Corporation Bank & Union Bank of India provide loan based on the offer letter given by SPJIMR. SBI is also running a Scholar Scheme, under which they are providing educational loan to SPJIMR students without any guarantor or collateral, and loan will be sanctioned on the name of the student only. Is there is any scholarship scheme available?
SPJIMR provides full or part waiver of tuition fees for needy and deserving candidates.
What are the eligibility criteria?
Minimum 3 years of Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University in India or abroad.
A CAT 2011/XAT 2012 overall score of 85 percentile or above.
A GMAT score of more than 680 (validity 1 year).
The website says GMAT should be given in 2011, but the submission date is Nov 30th 2011. Can I give GMAT after November 30th as long as it is in 2011?
Yes,you can.
I have updated the application form except for the CAT/XAT scores. Do I submit the form now?
Yes. We need only the exam registration details. You will be able to update CAT/XAT/GMAT scores after the exam results are announced. We will let you know when we require you to update your score.
What will be the programme fees?
Program fee for PGDM 2011-13 is Rs. 4.75 lakhs per year. Fees for batch of 2012-2014 will be announced shortly.
What is the residence requirement for the programme?
PGDM is a two-year full-time residential programme.
Is there any special housing arrangement for married students?
SPJIMR does have a hostel and staying in the hostel is compulsory for all candidates. There is no provision for special housing for married candidates.
How many seats are available under each specialisation?
There were 45 seats for each specialisation for the 2011-2013 batch.
Do you have offline or paper based application form?
You have to fill the application form online.
How do you convert your CGPA into percentage?
Use your college’s rule to convert your CGPA into percentage. If your college does not follow any particular rule, divide your CGPA by the maximum possible and then multiply by 100.
