How do I get education loan?
Banks like syndicate bank, SBI, Corporation Bank & Union Bank of India provide loan based on the offer letter given by SPJIMR and IESEG or ESB. Syndicate bank is also running a Scholar Scheme, under which they are providing educational loan to SPJIMR students without collateral, and loan will be sanctioned on the name of the student only. The education loan is given upto 95% of expenses on personal guarantee which includes all education and living expenses
Is there is any scholarship scheme available?
No there is no scholarship available for PGCIM students.
What are the eligibility criteria?
What will be the programme fees?
Fees for batch of 2012-2013 will be announced shortly. The current Batch of 2011-12 has fees of 8.5lacs.
What is the outline of the programme?
The ‘Post Graduate Certificate in International Management’ (PGCIM) is a comprehensive management program designed by SPJIMR incorporating basic management courses offered in many of the globally renowned management Institutes. Because of the rigor, relevance and effective pedagogy, many well-known management Institutes in Europe and other countries are considering PGCIM-qualified participants from SPJIMR, eligible for direct admission to the second Year of their accredited MBA and other Master’s Programs. This gives immense opportunity to participants to learn International Business by studying in International Business Environment.
The ESB Business School, Reutlingen University, Germany admits PGCIM participants directly to the second year of their MBA (International Management) and the IESEG School of Management, Lille, France admits PGCIM participants directly to the second year of their Master in International Business (MIB) Program with due credit transfer. This structure of PGCIM along with Masters Degree from reputed European Universities creates ideal candidates for any area of Indo European Business.
Is there any special housing arrangement for married students?
SPJIMR does have a hostel and staying in the hostel is compulsory for all candidates. There is no provision for special housing for married candidates.
How many seats are available under each programme?
There were 25 seats for each programme for the 2012-2013 batch.
Will SPJIMR offer an MBA degree?
No. On successful completion of the course at SPJAIN, SPJIMR will award a Post-Graduate Certificate in International Management (PGCIM).
But, how does a post-graduate certificate translate to an MBA in International Management?
Post successful completion of PGCIM,
ESB Business School, Germany will automatically accept the credits towards its MBA in International Management. You will be at ESB for 6-month period. This would include the completion of Master Thesis.
IESEG school of Management, Lille will automatically accept the credits towards Masters in International Management. You will be at IESEG for 6 months followed by 2-6 months of internship in France.
Do I need to apply for ESB or IESEG separately?
No. The selection of the participants for both the certificate and MBA/MIB program is a one-time process. The participant receives invitation letters from SPJIMR on being selected.
Are there further specializations offered in PGCIM as in PGDM and PGPM (like Marketing, Finance, etc.)?
The degree awarded is “ MBA in International Management” by ESB and Masters in international Business by IESEG School of Management. There is no further specialization like it is in PGDM and PGPM courses. In ESB or IESEG, participants can choose any subjects from a list of electives offered.
Do SPJIMR, ESB and IESEG provide accommodation to the participants?
Yes, SPJIMR and ESB and IESEG provide accommodation for the PGCIM students. The program is fully-residential.
Do I get to undergo any international language training while pursuing MBA?
Yes, you will. German and French language training is part of the curriculum. Participants have to acquire the skills at A2 level in accordance with European Framework of Languages prior to the end of the MBA course.
