SPJIMR is a self-reliant institution and uses it's surplus resources to strengthen the other members of Bhavans family in their upgradation and modernisation and also in support activities pertaining to culture and publication.

SPJIMR also attempts to synthesize the apparent contradictions in western efficiency and eastern ethos, as in competition and collaboration.
