Start Your Business Program - Convocation

In line with its guiding principles of Influencing Practice and Value Based Growth, SPJIMR has extended its educational footprint to the emerging drivers of the Indian economy, the entrepreneurial sector. SPJIMR is a founding member of the Wadhwani Foundation promoted National Entrepreneurship Network, better known as NEN.

SPJIMR has pioneered the Start Your Business (SYB) program for budding entrepreneurs. The Start Your Business Program focuses on how to start and grow a business profitably.

The Start Your Business Program will enable participants to transform their business idea into a Sustainable. Business and develop a real life business plan.

In the words of Prof. Suresh Rao, Chairperson, Center for Entrepreneurship at SPJIMR, “We believe there is an unmet need among potential entrepreneurs for learning how to start and grow a business and this program serves that need”. The third batch received their certificates of participation on November 17th.

The certificates were handed over by Prof. M. S. Rao. The participants are preparing to start their ventures in a variety of areas such as jewellery, medical tourism, customized fabrication etc.

The next batch is scheduled to commence on February 2, 2008.
