Singapore Expo conducted by ZAK saw a tremendous response from varied sectors of the Indian industry ranging from Textiles to Knowledge to IT to heavy engineering. 'Salaam India Sponsorship Program' weaved a series of seminars and workshops in its itinerary in order to increase commercial co-operation and showcase products and services of the Indian industries. Some of the dignitaries present were Dr. D. Viswanathan, Vice Chancellor of Annai University, Sudha Murthy, Chairperson of Infosys Foundation members from the media industry such as Madhavan, Shobha De. Also present were members from the State Information Commission, the Indian High Commission and the like. SPJIMR, well-acclaimed for its unique pedagogy and methodologies was one of the few institutes from the country's diverse knowledge industry, to participate in the event. Esteemed faculty Prof. Nirja Mattoo, Prof. Aditi Divatia and Ms. Bindu represented the institute under the able and dynamic leadership of Prof. Sunil Rai, Joint Director, SPJIMR. In his address, Prof.TRai highlighted the change in the outlook towards Indian educational system. He described the SPJIMR way of imparting not just knowledge but also skills and the right attitude to participants which moulds them into responsible global citizens. 'Shravana', 'Manana' and 'Dhyaana', he said are the three pillars of SPJIMR's pedagogy. He laid emphasis on the fact that SPJIMR advocates relevant learning through industry partnerships, pedagogic initiatives such as DOCC, ADMAP, Gita Shibir, Personal Growth Lab etc and through a comprehensive classroom experience. Prof. Rai concluded his talk with: 'An no Bhadraah Kratavo Yantu Vishvatah' - Let noble thoughts come to us from every side. The SPJIMR stall was awarded the 'Best Stall'. Several institutes from China, Thailand, Malaysia and Philippines expressed interest in pedagogic partnerships and research collaborations with SPJIMR.
