The Industry Interaction Committee (IICOM) was formed with an objective to enhance interaction with the industry and creating awareness and recognition of the PGPM programme. PGPM 306 IICOM arranged lectures of luminaries from various top notch industry professionals to keep abreast with the latest happening in the business arena, to get insights into various topics and to increase visibility among the corporate through these guest lectures. The guest lecture series had a threefold manifesto - i. Providing insights into latest trends in
the industry In top B-schools, guest lectures are defacto phenomena to achieve the above mentioned objectives. However, the PGPM 306 IICOM thought of branding this endeavour. The guests wanted to have a dialogue with the students and interact on a plane of equals so that ideas can be exchanged smoothly. The Sanskrit word 'SamvaaD', which signifies a dialogue of equals, was chosen. Padmanabhan, Executive VP & Head, Global Human Resources, TCS - ‘Leadership & Change Management’; Mr. Prasad Chakrabarty, Sr. GM, Enterprise Applications, Datamatics - ‘Supply Chain Consultancy’; Mr. Biswaranjan Sen, Mr. Biswaranjan Sen Head Logistics, HUL - ‘SCM Practices in HUL’. Mr. Baru Rao, CEO, Capgemini, India- ‘Strategy of MNCs in Offshoring/Rightshoring’; Mr. Shirish Bhide, General Manager, Daimler Chrysler India, Pune - ‘Best Practices in DaimlerChrysler’; Mr. Sanjay Sinha, Chief Executive, Mahindra Logistics, Mahindra & Mahindra - ‘SCM Trends in Automotive Industry’; Mr. Srinivas Eranki, Sr. VP, Reliance Polymer - ‘IT in Manufacturing Companies’.
