PGDSM-MIT has record placements

The 63 students of the third batch of SPJIMR's PGDSM-MIT put an exemplary performance in their final placements. Total of 40 companies participated in the process generating145 offers, an average of 3.62 offers per student. The icing on the cake was the international offers from ConVista Consulting (Germany) and Cedar Consulting (UAE). The highest domestic salary was pegged at Rs. 15 lakhs per annum. The average annual salary posted a hefty rise of 63% to Rs.10.9 lakhs. The highest international salary offered was USD 96100 per annum.

IT consulting, strategy consulting, project management, pre-sales and business developments were among the key roles offered. Roles like Assistant Vice President and Business leadership were offered for the first time. Prior to the final placement process, a large number of the participants were given PPOs from companies which visited the campus during Autumn placements. 33 participants were offered PPOs, of whom 23 accepted.

The companies included Cognizant, CitiGroup Global Services, Frost & Sullivan, GE, HCL, Honeywell, HUL, i2 Technologies, ICICI, Infosys, KPIT Cummins, KPMG, Mphasis, Satyam, Siemens Information Systems Ltd., TCS and Wipro. Companies such as Aricent, Arthur D. Little, Capgemini Consulting, Cedar Consulting, HP, IBM, McKinsey and Mindtree participated for the first time in the placement process.
