Global Investment Research Challenge

The Global Investment Research Challenge was organized by the CFA Institute USA and the Indian Association of Investment Professionals on how to research a publicly traded company. Teams from top b-schools including FMS, IIM-A, IIM-B, ISB, IFMR, MDI, SPJIMR, JBIMS and XLRI were required to prepare a written research report on NDTV Ltd.

Jamnalal Bajaj, IFMR and SPJIMR made it to the presentation round where JBIMS won the national round and SPJIMR finished runner up. The team from SPJIMR consisted of Gaurav Sharma and Srikanth Sudharsanan, 2nd year PGDM (Fin.) and Akhil Kakkar and Tanya Dargan, 1st year PGDM (Fin.). The team was guided by Prof. Sanjoy Sircar, Head of the Finance department, SPJIMR and Mr. Anil Ghelani, VP, Risk Mgnt. & New Product Development, DSP Merrill Lynch Fund Managers Ltd.
