It was a battle between seven best entries out of 250 across the BSchools of the country, being judged by an eminent jury from the industry on their equity analysis skills.

The line up for the presentation was HTMedia, Colgate Palmolive, Mico Ltd, Shoppers Stop Ltd, Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd, Reliance Ltd and Thermax India Ltd.Each team was given 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for judges' questions.

The judges , Anup Maheshwari (Head of Equities, DSP Merill Lynch), Ms. Shaina Mukadam (Head of Research, IDBI Caps), Dr. Mrs. Uma Sashikant (Consultant), Mr. Sunil Singhania (Fund Manager , Reliance (AMC) gave their insights and pointers to the participants to become even better.

The team from N.L.Dalmiya who presented on Thermax India emerged as the winner. The team from SPJIMR of Abhishek Puranik and Kiraat Desai from PGP2 came close second, their company was Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd.

The event came to close with the vote of thanks by Prof Sircar, HOD Finance SPJIMR. He stressed about the need of more of dispassionate analysis of the stocks by the teams as he pointed out that number of 'sell' recommendations were very few and far between in all the analysis.
