Graduation Ceremony

The Annual Graduation Ceremony of SPJIMR was conducted on institute campus. Students from four major programmes graduated on the occasion; PGDM 2year MBA programme (class of 2005-07), PGPM I year MBA programme (class of 2006-07), PGDSM-MIT 2 year programme (class of 2005-07) and EMBA batches.

The opening address was delivered by Mr. Laxminarayan, Chairman, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Chairman Elect, NASSCOM. Speaking on the occasion, he hailed the achievements of the institute and the participants and also acknowledged the contributions made by the institute in furthering high quality management education in the country. He advised the passing out graduates to be innovative in order to accept challenges faced by the growing Indian economy and stiff global competition. Dr. Pervez Gandhforoush, Director, MIT programme, Virginia Tech, USA was the Guest of Honour for the occasion. He praised SPJIMR's efforts in making this collaboration a success and creating history wherein for the first time, a US university conferred post graduate degrees to their students in a country outside the US. The successful graduates took oath to strive to live up to the expectations of the degrees conferred upon them and resolved to contribute to the progress of corporate India.
