Gita Shibir at Kayavarohan
October 3 & 4 and October 13 &14, 2006

PGDSM MIT 03 & PGDM 02 participants with swamijiParticipants of PGDSM MIT 03 and PGDM 02 set for the journey to explore the unfathomable dimensions of spirituality and self realization.

Two full days were spent in the sacred land of Kayavarohan, Baroda. The ashram with its serene and native ambience beautified by an elegant SHIVA temple was a place that would capture the visitor's soul at the very beginning. It was a quest to find the missing self and came back with a take away on own terms.

Sahana vavatu, sahanow bhunaktu Sahaviryam karavavahi, tejasvina vadhitamastu Ma vidvishavahai Om shanti shanti shantihi.

For many participants, the sholka which has been chanted right from nursery days found its true meaning at the Shibir.

PGDBM 2006 - 08 participants with swamijiIt was a perfect setting to expose all the eager participants to the power of meditation and dhyana. Swami Viditatmanandji's wonderful dissection of the meaning behind the epic book of Indian values was tailor made for the future managers of the country. The importance of having an objective approach, the two facades of success, destiny and free will, conduct in keeping with dignity, were words Lord Krishna spoke elucidated thousands of years ago. But understanding them clearly from Swamiji helped the participants appreciate the genius behind those worldly wise statements. The discourse on the three states of the human existence Satwa, Rajas and Tamas helped students better understand the people around us and their own frame of mind. The entire group concurred with Swamiji when he pointed out that 'Graceful acceptance' is a state of mind and not an action.

Swami Viditatmananda gave everyday real life analogies to fathom the true depths of vedantas and GITA and provided practical relevances while clearing the participants’ doubts. The icing on the cake was the night Bhajan session with Swamiji under the starlit lawns of the temple.

The workshop, ‘Learning Management principles via Gita’, was once in a lifetime experience. Under the expert guidance of Mrs. Varsha Parab, Prof. Uma Narain, Prof. Kulkarni, Prof. Lata Laxminarayan, Prof. Parimal Merchant Prof. Abbas, Prof. Rukaiya, Prof. Mona, Prof. Aditi and Mrs. Alpana, the participants unraveled the mystics of self and spirituality that would help them mould their years to come.
