Annual Convocation : Center for Family Managed Businesses

It was the day, the Center for Family Managed Businesses (FMB) held its Annual Convocation. Dr. Swati Piramal, Chief Scientific Officer, Nicholas Piramal Enterprises graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A combined total of 101 students of the FMB-7 and FMB-8 batches received the Post-graduate diploma in Family Managed Businesses. The Hon. Dean Dr. M. L. Shrikant declared the Convocation open. The Director of the institute Dr. Rajan Saxena and FMB Chairperson Prof. S. P. Advani also addressed the students. The Chief Guest said that “The fundamental key to success for Nicholas- Piramal has been a respect for all living beings as put forth in the Bhagavad Gita.” Dr. Piramal stated that this was an exciting time to be in India, given India's emergence as a world player in many arenas. She also emphasized the critical importance of original research and innovations that could eventually be patented. Two class toppers Abhishek Singhal (FMB-7) and Vijayant Bhalla (FMB-8) concluded with a vote of thanks to the professors. The Convocation was followed by a lavish South Indian style dinner.
