‘Advanced Certificate Programme in Services’ launched to develop “T” Shape Service Professionals.

SPJIMR's Center for Services Science, Management and Engineering (SSME), in collaboration with IBM, has pioneered an Advanced Certificate Programme in services meant for service businesses and professionals. The services management, operations, quality and human resource management are materially different and practitioners need to be trained in a specialised manner. Service based businesses can become sharply competitive and equipped with this actionable knowledge. Keeping this in mind, this advanced programme is being launched for Indian services industry which comprises more than 50% of the Indian economy. This is the only programme of its type in India and is an initiative by the SSME Center to create a breed of service professionals. The professionals will be equipped with a set of ideas relevant to services based businesses and will be market driven managers and future leaders of the service industry. The programme would work towards creating an awareness of dos, don'ts and nuances of designing and launching services and promoting entrepreneurship. The faculty will have a balance of experts drawn from IBM, SPJIMR, national institutes and industry.

SPJIMR students will be offered 50% discount on the total fees of the programme and the discounted fee amount of Rs. 45000 will be payable in two installments of Rs. 25,000/- at the time of registration and Rs. 20,000/- one month after starting on the job. SPJIMR alumni will be offered 50% discount on the total fees of the programme. The discountedamount will be Rs. 45,000.
