Dr. Vinod Jain's Visit to SSME centre

Dr. Vinod Jain, professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland and the founder and former director of the Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER), visited the Institute in connection with the SPJIMR-IBMSSMECentre.

Dr. Jain is a member of Academy of International Business, Academy of Management, Mensa, Strategic Management Society, and theWorld Affairs Council. He is President and CEO of the India-US World Affairs Institute, President Emeritus of the Toledo Area International Trade Association and served on the board of governors of Ohio's Information Technology Alliance during 2000-2002. In 2008, hewas appointed by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Commerce to serve on the Maryland-Washington D.C. District Export Council.

Dr. Jain Jain has a Ph.D. degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of Maryland at College Park and Master's degrees in Management (UCLA) and Statistics (Indian Statistical Institute).

He participated in two interactive sessions with SPJIMR faculty members and the Director Dr. Sesha Iyer. A seminar on 'Globalization' by Dr. Jain was also held for the participants ofPGPM.

This visit further builds up the relationship between SSME Center and University of Maryland.
