Dr. Jai Menon's and Mr. Amol Mahamuni visit the SSME Centre

Dr. Jai Menon, Vice- President, Technical S t rategy, Gl o b a l University Programs and Vice-Chair of the IBM Academy of Technology and Mr. Amol Mahamuni, Programme Director, IBM India Software Lab, visited SPJIMR in connection with the SPJIMR- IBM SSME Centre.

Dr. Jai Menon's and Mr. Amol Mahamuni visit the SSME Centre Jai Menon is responsible for shaping IBM's technical strategy and identifying emerging technologies critical to its future as Vice-Chair of the IBM Academy of Technology - an elite body of worldwide leaders whose mission is to provide technical direction and leadership for IBM. He also serves as the global leader of IBM's University Collaboration programmes and works with academia to establish innovative research and build 21st century skills to support innovation economy.

Amol Mahamuni is the Country Manager (IBM India University Relations), Program Director, IBM India Software Lab. He leads IBM's Telecom Product Development, Commerce Portfolio and CICS Transaction Processing.Dr. Menon and Mr. Mahamuni participated in two interactive sessions with Hon. Dean Dr. M.L. Shrikant and SPJIMR facultymembers.

A seminar on 'The Smarter Planet' was also held for the participants by Dr. Menon in the Auditorium followed by Q&A. All the participants along with faculty members enjoyed the session.

This visit further builds up the relationship SSME center has with IBM.
