Down Memory Lane: Class of 89 Reunion

The stage was set. The teachers walked in first. Their participants poured in a little later. No reprimand though, every late-comer was welcomed with equal gusto! 18th July '09, SPJIMR was celebrating 15-years Reunion for the Class of '89.

Emotions – warmth, excitement and surprises – were palpable as some of the friends met nearly after 15 long years. They were also excited to see old faculty-members who had come down especially for the event, and the feelings were clearly reciprocated. As they sat around a round-table waiting for others to join-in, all the old classroom jokes were revisited. And even when they seemed too lost in old memories, just an announcement got them startled as these 'who's who' of the businessworld rushed to the auditorium. Some of the Alumni of the Class of '89 had joined online fromUSand Jakarta.

The excitement level increased when Hon. Dean Dr. M. L. Shrikant joined-in. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp, followed by speeches from the old faculty members. The highlight of the programme was the informal interaction with Hon. Dean. The online participants also shared their thoughts with Dr. Shrikant and others. This was followed by felicitation of the Class of '89 and informal discussions. The dinner lasted until late evening. The memories,however,would last a lifetime.
