Global crisis in B-school classroom

In the wake of global financial crisis there is a sense of panic amongst the B-school students. But the Directors of these B-schools feel that it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to learn from the current global financial crisis.

"Meanwhile, institutes like S P Jain have even invited industry veterans for special lectures to students on how they can learn from the current crisis and grow as managers.

ML Shrikant, Dean of S P Jain Institute of Management, said, "Since the last couple of months, we have organized special lectures with emphasis on global crisis."

Although, the current crisis is seen as a good opportunity for students to learn, there is evident widespread panic amongst themselves about their future.

However, industry players opine that while the panic is inevitable, it could just the right time for the students to bring down their expectations to realistic levels, or else Corporates will stay away.
