Entrepreneurship Today:

Indians are undergoing a mindset change on entrepreneurship from the traditional perception of the "kirana store" and "khandani story" to the trendy perception of the business idea monetizing to an IPO. In today's market economy, entrepreneurship is a free-for-all, from 'Commoner' Gopinath to 'Executive' Subroto Bagchi to 'Family' Shailaja Firodia.

However, while anyone with an idea can start a business now, success comes to those who are equipped to with the know-how of managing a new venture from the idea to the growth stage.

To get a 'quick fix' on starting a new venture, Centre for Entrepreneurship, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, a founder member of the National Entrepreneurship Network for India, offers two workshops dealing with various preparatory aspects of starting a new venture.

The workshops expose participants to traits of successful entrepreneurs, methods for generating ideas and frameworks for assessing whether the idea has the potential for a business opportunity.
