SPJIMR Marketing Impact Awards (SMIA)

The SMIA awards are based on papers submitted by corporates/NGOs on best practices demonstrating marketing impact and effectiveness . The papers /case studies are based on a marketing initiative taken by the organisation to successfully solve a business problem or exploit a market opportunity. Each of these cases highlight how the marketing initiative considered made a long term, significant and measurable impact on the business.

Entries for SMIA are sent in by organizations from all across India. Of these 4 entries are shortlisted and invited to make their presentations at the SPJIMR Marketing Effectiveness Conclave.

Shortlisted papers in the past 3 years included entries from Tata Steel, ITC, HLL, Apollo Clinics, Mahindra and Mahindra, ICICI and Standard Chartered Bank among others.

Winners of SMIA 2007

  • SMIA trophy and cash prize of Rs 75,000/- awarded to Bank of Baroda (Rebranding Strategy)

  • Runners up Certificates and Rs 45,000/- awarded to ITC (Weather Insurance-Derivatives Marketing).
