As per our pedagogic innovations based on commitment to simple but practical objectives, namely 'influencing practice', we provide the right platform to the participant to create a repository of services sector management case studies. These cases are with Indian content, context and relevance under the guidance of faculty members.
The SSME centre encourages research projects in the area of services. Research papers have been published internationally in services. Centre invites international and national researchers to spend their sabbatical leave at the center. Research on various topics like Mobile marketing, Healthcare services in rural areas, developing actionable service manual for co-creating business in low-income communities etc are in progress in the centre.
SSME Centre organizes workshops on various topics related to services including Business Processes Management and Tivoli.
SSME Centre has invited and hosted international services scholars. Dr. Jai Menon (2009) – Vice-President, Technical Strategy, Global University Programs and Vice-Chair of the IBM Academy of Technology, visited along with Mr. Amol Mahamuni, Program Director, IBM India Software Lab Dr. Jacob Tsao (2010) - Professor, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, San Jose State University Dr. Rahul Choudaha (2009) - Associate Director (Innovation & Development) at World Education Services. Dr. Vinod Jain (2009) - Professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland and the founder and former director of the Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER). Mr. F. C. Kohli (2010) – Father of the Indian IT outsourcing industry and as the business leader who built TCS' outsourcing business.
